Ryo Saeba is a private eye known as the "City Hunter". One day, his associate, Hideyuki Makimura, is murdered. Ryo has to look after Hideyuki's sister, Kaori, who becomes his new partner. However, Kaori is much more jealous and often hits him with a giant hammer.
